Orbital Custom Implant
Custom orbital implants are implants designed specifically for patients experiencing bone or tissue loss in the orbital area. They are particularly suitable for situations such as trauma, tumor surgery, congenital anomalies, or orbital volume loss.
Purpose: To keep the eyeball in the correct position, to ensure symmetry and to achieve aesthetic/functional improvement.
Production: 3D modeling is done using CT or MRI images, and then a personalized implant is produced using CAD-CAM technology.
Advantages:
Full adaptation to the patient's orbital anatomy
Reducing the risk of enophthalmos (sunkenness) and double vision in the eye
Shorter surgical time and higher success rate
Making the aesthetic appearance natural
Areas of Use
Post-traumatic orbital wall fractures
Reconstruction after orbital tumor resections
Congenital deformities
Correction of previous failed reconstruction attempts
Period
CT/MRI images of the patient are taken.
Implant design is done in a 3D digital environment.
Production is carried out using CNC or 3D printing.
It is placed surgically.
