Chin and Angulus Zygoma Implants,

These are surgical methods used for both aesthetic and functional needs in the facial area.

Chin implants are applied to patients who have bone loss in the lower jaw or who want to define their jawline, while zygomatic (cheekbone) implants are preferred in cases where there is not enough bone in the upper jaw.

In What Situations Is It Used?

  • Small or receding lower jaw (micrognathia)

  • The tip of the chin is not prominent

  • Disproportion in the facial profile (e.g. nose-chin balance)

  • Desire for a sharper and more aesthetic jawline

  • Deformity at the tip of the jaw following trauma or bone loss

Angulus Zygoma Implants are placed in the zygomatic bone, providing a solution for areas with limited bone density where traditional implants are not suitable. This allows for both aesthetic balance in the facial structure and the successful support of dental implants.

Chin implants, on the other hand, make the jaw line more defined and contribute to the face appearing more balanced and symmetrical.

Chin-Angulus Zygoma Implant

In Which Situations Is It Preferred?

  • When there is advanced bone loss in the upper jaw

  • In cases where traditional implants cannot be applied

  • Losses that occur after trauma, tumor surgery or osteoporosis

  • Severe bone deficiencies that make it difficult to fix the prosthesis

Advantages

  • Eliminates the need for extensive bone grafting (bone addition).

  • It allows the patient to have a fixed prosthesis made in a shorter time.

  • Even if there is advanced bone loss in the upper jaw, implants can be placed.

  • Provides balance and support in facial aesthetics.

  • It is a long-lasting and durable solution.
